A design that symbolizes our commitment to contributing to society through chemistry
—and to keep challenging ourselves for the future
To decide on a logo for our 50th anniversary, we invited ideas through an internal call for submissions and held a companywide vote with participation from all employees. From among the top vote-getters, we selected this logo because it can be used across a wide range of anniversary events and occasions, and because it conveys its message clearly through a simple design. We asked the designer about the ideas and intentions behind the logo.
Our 50th anniversary logo is designed around the message “For Fine Future!”. This message expresses our determination to keep moving forward as Mitsui Fine Chemicals for the wonderful future of all our stakeholders. By enclosing the overall logo with the key words “For Fine Future” and “Mitsui Fine Chemicals” and placing a molecular model illustration at the center, we expressed both our pride in contributing to society through chemistry and our willingness to take on new challenges for the future. The blue color evokes the pride, sincerity, and sense of trust and reassurance we hold as a member of the Mitsui Chemicals Group. The circular form represents harmony, while the ribbon conveys our celebratory feelings for this 50th anniversary, our journey to date, and the idea of a gift—our desire to continue delivering value to society in the years ahead.

The molecular model illustration featured in the logo symbolizes Mitsui Fine Chemicals’ business domains and leaves a strong impression that we are a chemistry-based company. By balancing technical expertise with approachability, the design captures our identity with clarity. As the world is built on chemistry and we too play an important role within it, the logo embodies values we should reaffirm and share—especially now, as we mark our 50th anniversary. This logo expresses our pride in the past 50 years of growth while contributing to society through chemistry, as well as a strong pledge to continue contributing to society and growing in the years to come.
