First collaboration between Mitsui Chemicals and Tanseisha: the joint development of a new window film focusing on sensitivity.

10/05/2021

Mitsui Chemicals Inc.(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Osamu Hashimoto) and Tanseisha Co. Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Takashi Takahashi) have started to collaborate with the goal of providing richer spatial experiences by promoting a joint development project focusing on sensitivity that combines the cutting-edge technology of Mitsui Chemicals with Tanseisha's spatial creation expertise.

As the first step in this collaboration, Mitsui Chemicals has developed posica™, a film which will beautifully change the world using the kukkiri™ dye technology developed in the pursuit of better vision in the field of eyeglass lens materials. By applying posica™ film to windows, showcases, etc., the scenery and exhibits will seem more vivid than ever before.

Mitsui Fine Chemicals Inc. (located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Satoshi Tsuruda) began selling posica™ film in September 2021.

What is posica™ film?

A polyester-based window film that uses Mitsui Chemicals' Kukkiri™ dye technology to make the view seen through the film appear more colourful while looking natural.

When posica™ film is applied to a window, the colors of the blue sky, sea, green trees and red flowers appear fuller and more vivid, and the white of clouds floating in a blue sky appears whiter. The brand name reflects the hope that viewing the world through posica™ film will make people feel brighter and more positive.
