KEMIBESTO™ is a polyethylene microfiber with a multi-branched shape.
The shape of KEMIBESTO™ is completely different than ordinary short-cut fibers. It has an intricately branched fiber structure, like a tree trunk, branches and leaves, and it has applications in a wide range of fields.
By adding KEMIBESTO™ to various paints, adhesives, and sealants, it imparts very good thixotropic properties. Since KEMIBESTO™ has a multi-branched structure (with a trunk several tens of microns wide and branches and leaves that are several microns wide), KEMIBESTO™ becomes entangled with itself or with other substances, and it has an excellent thickening effect, uniform dispersion, and capture.
In addition, it is less likely to become a dust than the fumed silica and sepiolite used for the same application, and it has good workability on site.
